Almaden (“Almaden” or “we” or “us”) is committed to privacy and will only use the personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) that you provide in accordance with the terms outlined below.

This Privacy Notice covers any Personal Information we obtain when you visit us, use our services, or access the features on the websites that Almaden owns or controls (today or in the future), including https://www.almadenglobal.com/ (collectively, the “Sites”). You can access the Sites in many ways, including from a computer or mobile phone, and this Privacy Notice will apply regardless of the means of access.

This Privacy Notice is governed by our Terms and Conditions. When you access, use, visit, or browse the Sites, you accept our current Terms and Conditions and Privacy Notice.

1. Information We Collect From You

Personal Information

When you use our Sites, you may choose to provide certain information directly to us to request more information or services, including the following Personal Information:

  • first and last name;
  • email address; and
  • company name; and
  • phone number.

You may, however, visit our Sites anonymously. We will collect Personal Information from you only if you voluntarily submit such information to us. You can always refuse to supply Personal Information, except that it may prevent you from engaging in certain Site-related activities.

Usage Information

We may also use cookies, web beacons, pixels, gifs, tags and other technologies (collectively, “Collection Technology”) that may automatically collect and store information about how you use the Sites, including the following (collectively, “Usage Information”):

2. How We Collect Your Information

Site Usage

We collect Personal Information when you:

  • visit our Sites;
  • request information;
  • fill out a form on the Sites; and
  • otherwise interact with the Sites.

We also collect information in several ways by your use of the Sites. When you access the Sites, our servers log your IP address, the URL of your request and other information that is provided in the HTTP header. Also, our third-party service providers and clients may ask you voluntarily to provide Personal Information on their websites and may share such Personal Information with us, as governed by their respective privacy policies. Our use of information received from a service provider will be dictated by the service provider’s or client’s privacy policies and not this Privacy Notice. Almaden collects this information in order to provide information about our services that will meet the expectations of our clients.

If you request information through our “Let’s Talk” form, we collect that Personal Information solely to respond to your inquiry.

Collection Technology

We may use Collection Technology to collect and store personal information. Collection Technology, such as cookies, may store a piece of data on your browser or device, while other forms of Collection Technology may identify your browser or device and/or collect information through other means. When you visit the Sites or visit another website or application, your browser or device may be exposed to Collection Technology and Collection Technology may be stored on your browser or device. A “cookie” is a small data file stored on your web browser or on your mobile device that allows us to recognize your computer or mobile device when you visit the Sites by associating identification numbers with other user information you have provided us. Some cookies will remain on the hard drive of your computer or mobile device for the duration of your browser or user session, while others will remain until deleted by you.

Google Analytics

The Sites use Google Analytics (and in the future may use other similar sites or services), a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”), to better assist us in understanding how the Sites are used. Google Analytics is a Collection Technology that places cookies on your computer that will generate information that we select about your use of the Sites, including your computer’s IP address. That information will be transmitted to and stored by Google. The information will be used for the purpose of evaluating consumer use of the Sites, compiling reports on Sites’ activity for our use, and providing other services relating to Site activity and usage. 5. How Long We Keep Your Information

We generally discard information about you when we no longer need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, which are described above under How We Use Your Information, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. To determine the appropriate retention period for Personal Information, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the information, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your Personal Information, the purposes for which we process your Personal Information, and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.

6. How to Access and Control Your Information

  • Limit the information you provide. You may choose not to provide any information to us. Please keep in mind that if you do not provide this information, certain features of our Sites may not be accessible.

We will process such requests in accordance with applicable laws, and in some circumstances may need to deny your request in whole or in part (e.g., if we have a legal obligation to maintain your information for a certain purpose). To protect your privacy, we will take steps to verify your identity before fulfilling your request. You have the right to submit a request through an authorized agent, but we will require the agent to provide us with your written permission, and we may need to confirm your identity before processing the agent’s request. Depending on your location of residence, you may have the right to appeal our response to your request. In such circumstances, we will inform you of the right to appeal and the appeal process.

  • Set your browser to reject cookies. At this time, we do not respond to “do not track” signals on our Sites. However, you may adjust your cookie settings as described in Cookies and Targeted Advertising.

7. Other Websites, Mobile Applications, and Services

Links

The Sites may contain links to other websites, mobile applications, and online services operated by third parties, including but not limited to Social Media Sites (“Third Party Services”), and our content may be included on such Third Party Services. These links are not an endorsement of, or representation that we are affiliated with, the Third Party Services. We do not control these Third Party Services, we are not responsible for their actions, and they may follow different rules regarding the collection, use and sharing of your Personal Information. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of Third Party Services you use.

In particular, remember that certain Third Party Services may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. If you proceed with a transaction that involves the Third Party Services, your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which the Third Party Services provider or its facilities are located. Once you leave our Sites or are redirected to Third Party Services, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Notice or our Terms and Conditions.

Social Media Sites

The Third Party Services include social network sites like Instagram and LinkedIn (the “Social Media Sites”), and we work with application developers who specialize in social commerce so we can connect to your Social Media Sites. We provide access from our Sites to these Social Media Sites so we can generate interest in our products among members of your social networks and to allow you to share product interests with friends in your network.

The use of any features made available to you on our Sites by a Third Party Service may result in information being collected or shared about you by us or by the Third Party Service. Information collected or shared through any such Third Party Service is considered public information by us because the Social Media Sites made it publicly available. If you do not want us to be able to access information about you from Social Media Sites, you must instruct the Social Media Sites not to share the information. We are not responsible for how Third Party Services (including Social Media Sites) may use information collected from or about you. If you do not want a Social Media Site to share information about you, you must contact that site and determine whether it gives you the opportunity to opt out of sharing such information. However, we do identify any areas on our Sites where Social Media Sites share information about you.

We use features on Social Media Sites that allow you to express opinions about our products. Those Social Media Sites may collect or register your views about our products and make those views available to us and on public portions of the Social Media Sites. If you do not wish any of this to happen, you should not express your views about our products on Social Media Sites and you should review your privacy settings on such Social Media Sites. We are not obligated to display your name or other identifying information, profile photo, or other information or content on our Sites even if you express an opinion about our products or have consented to our use of such information or content. We reserve the right to remove the information of any person for any reason. We may also remove from our Sites, in our sole discretion, any product offering or any photo or product description relating thereto. 8. How We Protect Your Information

We utilize appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your Personal Information and data stored on our Sites. Personal Information may be accessed by persons within our organization, or any of our third party service providers, or the other persons described in this Privacy Notice, who require such access to carry out the purposes we describe in this Privacy Notice, or that are otherwise required or permitted by law.

We cannot guarantee the security of the information on and sent from the Sites or any other information we receive or collect. No transmission of data over the internet is guaranteed to be completely secure, and there is a possibility for any security measures to be overcome. It may be possible for third parties not under the control of Almaden to intercept or access transmissions or private communications unlawfully. Neither Almaden nor any of our service providers can ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us. Any such transmission is done at your own risk. Almaden is not responsible for the acts or omissions of any third parties.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Sites are not directed to children under the age of 13. Children under the age of 13 are prohibited from submitting any Personal Information to us through the Sites. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us at info@almadenglobal.com.

10. Additional Information for California Residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the “CCPA”) requires us to disclose the following information with respect to our collection, use, and disclosure of personal information (as defined in the CCPA).

We will not discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. California “Shine the Light” Law

California residents may request certain information regarding our disclosure (if any) of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes, pursuant to California Civil Code Section 1798.83 (the California “Shine the Light” law). To make such a request, please contact us, identify yourself as a California resident and provide sufficient information so we can take appropriate action, such as your name, email address, or any additional information required.

11. International Access to Our Sites

At this time, our Sites are based in and solely intended for residents in the United States. If you are not a resident of the United States, please do not provide any Personal Information to us through the Sites.  Please note that if you do access our Sites outside the United States, any data collected will be stored in the United States.
