The Challenge
Scott Laboratories collaborated with Almaden to develop a custom packaging solution for its Wine Improvement & Aging Kits. The kits included multiple half-ounce glass vials, requiring a packaging solution that would not only protect the product during shipping but also uphold the brand’s prestige.

Leveraging a longstanding relationship and deep understanding of Scott Laboratories as a brand, we designed a packaging solution from concept to execution.
Custom Packaging Design
A custom dieline was designed in-house to accommodate the intricate structural requirements of the package, including eight individual inserts. To ensure performance, two fully functional prototypes were developed, printed, and rigorously tested, verifying both structural integrity and the secure containment of the product during transit.
This project required the coordinated production of two distinct sheets, each printed, die-cut, folded, glued, and seamlessly assembled to create the finished unit. This sophisticated build was completed on a tight timeline, with an initial run of 750 units produced, assembled, and shipped, all within just three weeks from project initiation. These kits, used for wine analysis and testing, were successfully delivered to Scott Labs for distribution to wineries, professional testing rooms, and consumers via their direct-to-consumer online storefront. Every step of the process, from design to delivery, exemplified our commitment to timeliness, perfection, and certainty.
The final result was a fully designed, brand-aligned packaging solution that reinforced their prestigious quality and craftsmen’s level of detail. This solution not only ensured product protection but also elevated the end-user experience. In addition to the kit packaging, we continue to support Scott Laboratories with a range of branded assets, including signage, catalogs, gifting solutions, and promotional material, delivered on brand, on time, every time.
